Crow Pose (Bakasana)

Benefits:
Improves balance. Strengthens wrists, forearms and abdomen.

1. Bend knees slightly, bring palms flat on the floor about shoulder's distance apart.

2. Place the knees on the back of the upper arms.

3. Start to come forward, lifting the head as you go.

4. Take one foot and then the other off the floor so you are balancing on arms with both feet up.

Tip: Don't let your head drop as it will cause you to tip forward and lose balance.

"The secret of health for both mind & body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly."

The Problem With Small Frequent Meals

Article: By Michelle F

Eating small frequent meals keeps food in your stomach and prevents you from feeling hungry. The promoters of this way of eating say that staying full is beneficial because it prevents your blood sugar levels from dropping too drastically (hypoglycemia). This may seem like a good thing at first glance, but there are some major problems that come with keeping your stomach full.

The main problem with keeping your stomach full throughout the day is that it causes your stomach to work overtime. It takes several hours for food to fully digest and clear out of your stomach. With frequent meals, your stomach is not able to fully digest and clear one meal before you add more food to the mix.

When you add more food, your stomach has to readjust and start the process of digestion all over again. Digestion is not as efficient and it takes much longer for food to digest. You end up with a buildup in your stomach. Not only will your stomach have to work all day digesting food, it will have to work through the night as well.

This constant work (without any breaks) is very hard on your stomach. In order to be truly healthy, your stomach needs to rest - just like the rest of your body. You may not notice any problems when you first start eating small frequent meals, but over time, your stomach will suffer. This way of eating makes your stomach weak and tired. It sets you up for dyspepsia and other digestive problems. That in turn will affect your mood and your outlook on life.

Another problem with eating frequent meals is that is causes fermentation in your stomach. When your stomach has not had the chance to fully digest and clear one meal before you eat the next one, the food ends up staying in your stomach too long.

It doesn't take long before the food starts to break down and spoil in the warm, moist environment of your stomach. That releases unwanted toxins into your system. Those toxins burden your body and put you at risk for disease.

A Much Better Way

Fortunately, there is a much better way! There is a healthier eating plan that allows your stomach the rest it needs with no harmful fermentation! This simple eating plan promotes better overall health and permanent weight loss.

The Two Meal Plan

What is the two meal plan? It is a healthy lifestyle practice where you eat just two meals each day with no snacks in between.

It may seem like a radical approach, but it's the healthiest way to eat.

10 Reasons Why the 2 Meal Plan is Good for You!

There are so many ways you can benefit from eating just two meals a day. Here are just ten of them:

1.) The two meal plan allows your stomach enough time to fully digest one meal before you add another. So, your stomach gets to have a well deserved rest after each meal.

2.) On the two meal plan, your stomach becomes more efficient at digesting your food. That translates to more health benefits from the food you eat.

3.) You will have a much better appetite and you will look forward to and enjoy your food a whole lot more.

4.) The two meal plan helps you to have a healthy digestive system. What you eat and how you eat affects how you feel. When your stomach has a chance to rest, you will feel happier and healthier.

5.) No more coated tongue in the morning! Eating your second meal early enough in the evening eliminates the cause of coated tongue.

6.) You will have fresher breath because there is no food fermenting in your stomach. You will also have less risk of cavities compared to grazers- especially if you brush your teeth (or at least rinse out your mouth) after each meal.

7.) The two meal plan helps you to easily maintain the ideal weight for your height. The great thing about it is that it helps you to stay balanced. If you need to lose a few pounds, it will help you do just that. If you need to gain a few, it will help you get to a normal weight. Amazing!

8.) You will have less wrinkles and puffiness. Now that your body does not have to focus on digesting one meal after another, it will have plenty of time for other important tasks - like keeping you healthy looking and radiant. You'll be able to sleep much better than you ever have and you'll wake up feeling (and looking) refreshed and energized.

9.) The two meal plan will save you money. If you eat less, you'll spend less on food. It also translates into less time in the kitchen which means more time for other important activities, like studying the Word or spending quality time with your family and friends.

10.) Scientific studies show that eating less helps you to live longer!
